Privacy policy

Last updated October 12, 2026. Brooklyn Paranormal Society ("BKPS", "we") runs the walking tours at bkps.co. Questions: info@bkps.co.

The short version

We collect as little as we can to run a paid membership site. We never receive your name, email address or payment details from Patreon, we don't sell data, and we don't run advertising or cross-site tracking.

What we store about members

When you log in with Patreon we ask for the identity permission only. From Patreon we keep:

We do not keep your Patreon login token (it is discarded as soon as we have read your membership), your name, your email address, your payment information or your location history. Patreon handles all payments under its own terms and privacy policy.

Things you choose to send us

Cookies and device storage

We use no advertising or analytics cookies.

Your location

"Walk mode" and "walks near me" use your phone's location. That calculation happens on your device. Your position is never sent to our server.

Anonymous counters

To see how the site is doing, we keep daily totals (for example, how many times the home page was opened or how many people logged in). They contain no cookies, IP addresses or identifiers, so they cannot be traced to a person.

Our host and other services

Each of those services has its own privacy policy.

Keeping and deleting data

We keep membership records while you are a member or may return, and delete them on request. Email info@bkps.co from the address you use with Patreon, or tell us your Patreon user ID, and we will delete or export what we hold about you.

Children

The site is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above and, for meaningful changes, say so on the home page.
