One neighborhood, or all of them
Basic opens one walk. Investigators get every published walk.
Brooklyn Paranormal Society presents
Self-guided ghost walks through Brooklyn. Documented history, local legends, and a route on your phone. From $10/month on Patreon.
Pick your walk
Each neighborhood is its own walk, an hour or two on foot. Basic opens one of them. Investigators get all of them, plus every new stop as it lands.

Your proof
Stamp each stop when you reach it. Finish a walk and you've earned a certificate. Your stamps stay on this device.
Investigators
Help decide where we walk next, and tell us about a haunt we've missed. If it holds up, it becomes a stop with your name on it.
Nothing goes up sight unseen. We research every proposal ourselves, and we can feature about one a month, so not every pitch becomes a stop. We'll pass on places that are private or unsafe, and on stories we can't source. Anything we do feature gets the same record-and-legend treatment as every other stop, with sources linked. Read the editorial policy.
Before you go
Each walk is a loop of public streets. Read a stop when you reach it, then follow the directions to the next one.
Every stop has two sides: what the record says and what the stories say. We keep them separate, and if we couldn't find a source, we tell you.
Stamp each stop to fill your passport. Finish a walk and you get a certificate to keep, or to brag with.
Stay in the loop
We add a stop or two every month, and a new neighborhood every so often. Leave your email and we'll tell you when something opens. Just that, and you can leave any time.
Good to know
Walks come with a monthly Patreon membership. Join there, come back here, tap "Log in with Patreon", and your walk opens up. Patreon bills you every month until you cancel, and you can cancel any time. Your access follows whatever Patreon says about your membership.
Only here for one neighborhood? Basic opens the walk of your choice, and you can swap it once every 30 days. Investigators get every walk and every new stop, and can pitch us a haunt to research and feature, with credit. You can upgrade on Patreon whenever you like.
On Patreon, under your memberships, any time. Memberships renew monthly, so if you only came for one walk, cancel when you finish it. The details are on the cancellation and refunds page.
Friends or family walking together can share one phone. Anyone who wants their own login needs their own membership, and please don't pass your login (or the walks) around beyond your group. See the terms.
No. This page is the tour. It runs in any phone browser, and you can add it to your home screen.
Mostly. Once you've opened a walk you own, its stories are saved on that phone, so they still read with no bars, and stamping works too. Only the map and live directions need a connection.
No. Every stop is seen from a public street, park or path. Several are private homes or active building sites, so stay on the sidewalk, keep your voice down, and never knock or go in. Green-Wood is the one exception: it's a working cemetery, open to visitors during posted hours. Follow its rules (no pets, bikes or drones, no climbing on monuments, stay on the paths) and be out before the gates close.
The history comes from the sources linked at each stop. The hauntings come from local legend and from visitor-submitted listings on HauntedPlaces.org, and we label those unverified. Where a place has no ghost story we can source, we say so instead of making one up.
Mostly. Most stops are on busy, lit streets, but the last stops of the DUMBO & Vinegar Hill walk and parts of Williamsburg & Greenpoint get quiet, so do those in daylight. Green-Wood is a daytime walk, since the gates close. Use normal city sense and watch the traffic. The stories are just as good either way.
No. Walk mode reads your location on your phone, only to tell you when you've reached a stop. It never gets sent to us.
